As the custodians of ethical chaplaincy practice in South Africa, we maintain a national register of chaplains, offer identification and uniform insignia where applicable, and ensure that all members operate within a defined scope of practice. Our Mission
The mission of the South African Chaplain Association (SACA) is to promote and uphold the dignity, professionalism, and integrity of the registered Chaplaincy and related support professions across South Africa. We are committed to empowering individuals who are called to serve in spiritual and emotional support roles—including Chaplains, Pastors, Priest, Apostles, Counsellors, First Responders, Trauma Responders, Life Coaches, Facilitators, and Mentors—through recognized registration, professional oversight, ethical training, and continuous development.
We aim to create a national platform where registered professionals can flourish in structured environments while maintaining accountability to a central, ethical code of conduct. Our mission includes advocating for the recognition of Chaplaincy as an essential support service in sectors such as healthcare, education, law enforcement, correctional services, emergency response, the military, and community outreach.
