Aims

  1. Promote the professional identity of chaplains across South Africa by serving as a national registration and support body.
  2. Ensure the highest ethical and professional standards are upheld by all registered chaplains through defined codes of conduct and structured accountability.
  3. Provide quality training and mentorship to equip chaplains, pastoral workers, and support professionals for service in diverse environments.
  4. Support chaplains serving in varied fields, including emergency services, healthcare, correctional institutions, education, faith communities, and trauma response.
  5. Advocate for the recognition and value of chaplaincy in public and private sectors, emphasizing its essential role in providing emotional, spiritual, and psychological care.

Foster national unity and collaboration among chaplains through networking opportunities, conferences, and knowledge-sharing platforms.

Objectives

  1. To establish and maintain a national register of qualified and accountable Chaplains, Trauma Responders, Counsellors, Lifestyle Coaches, Facilitators, Mentors, Pastors, Priests, Apostles, and First Responders serving across South Africa.
  2. To provide structured training programs, workshops, and mentorship aimed at equipping with the necessary skills, knowledge, and spiritual grounding.
  3. To develop and enforce ethical guidelines and codes of conduct for all registered members to ensure integrity, professionalism, and public trust.
  4. To offer professional support and guidance to Chaplains, Trauma Responders, Pastoral Counsellors, Lifestyle Coaches, Facilitators, Mentors, Pastors, Priests, Apostles, and First Responders. working in high-impact, trauma-sensitive environments.
  5. To promote continuous professional development (CPD) and ensure that members remain updated on best practices and relevant legislation.
  6. To advocate for the chaplaincy profession at national, provincial, and community levels, ensuring that the role of chaplains is recognized and respected.

To create a community of practice where members can exchange knowledge, receive peer support, and grow in their vocational calling.
